Hunting With Hounds Could Be In Trouble

Just found this on another site. Check it out. Once hounds are take away in one state it WILL happen in others. England is a good example of this. Time for hound owners to come out of the woods and be heard !!!

I have seen beagles eat the hare or cottontail after being shot. Can't see where bear hounds would be any different unless trained not to. JMO

Nice, looks like you are off to a good start this year. :) I will not be doing much running until corn season, or when choke cherries ripen, I guess. It seems like I am spending a lot more money this year, and getting less running. I have learned how valuable a good strike hound is.

Well I stand corrected. I have been sent a picture of a Spruce Grouse, and I did not see one. ALL the hens I saw were Ruffed Grouse.

This is what I saw today. :) Seven hens with chicks. I think most of them were Spruce Grouse, but I could be wrong. One doe. Three Moose, but pictures didn't come out. It was just a little to dark for my camera. I also had the good luck on the way home to see a Porcupine in the road. Junior had not ...

Nice pictures 8). If my Stike Dog would start doing his job, maybe I could get some pictures. So far this training season, one bear in the tree :) , no picture because bear bailed, I had only one dog on tree.
Last weekend, one face full of quills  . I should have taken pictures of that, just ...
