Re: tool box/dogbox
The small truck combo boxes that I've seen are really only big enough for 2 small / med. dogs and only 1 compartment. This set up does work well...Storage for the stinky stuff and tools, and you always have a dog box in. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff205/alphaknl/Boards/Double.jpg

Re: hard headed top notch bear dogs.
...I personally don't have enough time, money or dogs to cycle through a bunch of them to get the one I want. Then repeat the next year. I find some dogs out of stuff I like and put them on some tracks. If they do good enough for me they stick around, if they don't they are gone. If a dog is a comp...

Re: Thoughts on 320 vs 220 or waiting for new systems
Can anyone say if the durability issues with the 220 have been corrected?
Will the 320 maintain sensitivity and range or "burn up" like the 220 is prone to?

Re: What makes a Bobcat climb a Tree or turn to Bay?
...I would say pressure... steady fast pressure a dog making all the corners, no loses and no over runs. If a cat gets breaks he can stay ahead a lot longer. For ever lose a dog makes I think you cut the odds of catching that cat... Yup, close the gap as efficiently as conditions and abilities allo...

Re: how many dogs do u need to effectively run bobcats?
To run bobcat you only need one dog. To effectively run bobcats with the expectation to catch, well that depends (see advice above). You'll never know if you don't try. Maybe you have that extra special cat dog that can get it done alone. Buy and breed with the single super-dog goal in mind. But rem...

Re: How many days a week to keep your dogs sharp and condit
Somewhere along the line I read a study on dog conditioning that mentioned if a dog sits for more than 4 days straight it will be goining backwards in conditioning. It takes 6-8 weeks running every other day to approach peak conditioning. It also mentioned that the most dramatic differences were mea...

Re: Polaris Big Boss 6x6
Ken- Thanks for the well thought out reply. Minnesota and Wisconsin need to finalize their regulations for OHVs before I get too serious. It seems the weight of the 6x6 prevents it from being registered as a normal ATV for now. The weight also restricts use on many trails. That should change as UTVs...

Wisconsin's Split Bobcat Season. A Success?
Wisconsin's Split Bobcat Season It has been a good snow year. One reason for the change was to provide more opportunities for people to get out. Did you find that to be the case? How about competition? Did things get spread out? Was the trapping pressure focussed on the first season? What does every...

Polaris Big Boss 6x6
I would like your opinions on the Polaris Big Boss 6x6. The carrying capacity looks like it would be really nice. Is it just too big. Or is it a good compromise between a 4-wheeler and a UTV?
How about snow...6-wheel drive should get it places, but the weight might get it buried.

Re: HOLY CAT TRACKS, and BEAR!!!!!
Steve and Nolte- Is the rabbit population down where you are checking? I have one area that I check that the rabbits are just flat GONE. Historically holds a good population of hares. Checked it by snowmobile for 7 days straight. 3 hours of checking to cover 3 separate green swamps and it took 4 day...
