Re: Thx

Ive never been on this website before, I didn’t even know it existed in this format. Looks like a good way for hunters to communicate, pretty cool. I would like to clarify a few things. Number 1: My wife kinda started this when she watched one of your videos and then I made the last comment from he...

Re: Thx

Thank you guys. Yes have received a flood of information on him. I know more than I want to know. More than he wants me to know. More than his mother knows. I know things about him he doesn’t even know. Lol. Hopefully this thread will fade away and die a slow death. I am getting the distinct feeling...

Re: Looking for Lion hunting advice

It took a lot of study and a lot of guts to go out there blind. Next year will require less of each and the blindfold is removed. Glad you all are safe.
Next year, lions beware.
Let us know how it goes.

Re: Scouting

The surest way to know of their presence is tracks and/or coon droppings. The feces “droppings” can be very distinctive, depending on what they have been eating. Often they will be full of berry seeds or grains or other evidence of fruit, nut or vegetable matter, shellfish remains, etc. sometimes th...

Re: Melissa Meador

David i rather not say ! Lol. Ok. I will mention it to him. If we can find this person, I know he wants to come down there for sure. So ask around because it would be worth it to get him down there if you could hunt with him. I know he prefers hunting alone, like some cat hunters do, but sounds lik...

Re: Attracting coons

Feed them. I’ve never done it but it is common practice.
If you go to YouTube and search “racoon feeders” there are many designs, many videos.
Here are three examples in one video:

They use these for hot coon tracks to start pups

(Edited) A South Texas bobcat hunter issued a challenge to Harold Parker in a YouTube comment. If any one can help me get ahold of them let me know. They left the comment 7 months ago, but I think maybe someone pointed it out to Harold and he’s ready to go. Hopefully they got their hounds all tuned ...

Re: Maybe a dumb question...

This is a fascinating thread. The question shocked me and I laughed pretty hard. And I am captivated by some of the responses.

Just when I thought BGH could not produce any new topics that have never been discussed on here before...

Re: Chain training (continued)

Recommendation: skip this post and the next. They are messed up and I can’t seem to fix them. Quotation blocks are wrong etc. You must have my hunting style and dogs confused with someone else. It is rare for me to make a post that makes sense to me if I go back and read it. So if I have time, I try...

Re: Chain training (continued)

As far as common blood in Glade Creek dogs and Rachel I’m not sure. Maybe i could do some research on that. ... I hope you can make sense of my poor writing skills. You are a good writer, I wish you would write a whole lot more. That was an amazing picture you painted. Rachel was out of Wicks Camo ...

Re: Chain training (continued)

I am editing your post so that I can agree with it I’ve had 2 leopards caught in snares both was chain broke. The female has been caught 6 times and the male 2 times. They was both .... ..... ... smart... Just my thoughts chain broke and brains kept my dogs alive. Now I agree 100% Those two dogs are...

Re: Chain training (continued)

They was both very lucky. You brought me back GCLeps. But Since it’s my grumpy thread, I’m going to disagree with you in one thing. UNLUCKY to me would be conditions so bad that they would not allow even the best of bobcat dogs to get up under a bobcat. LUCKY to me would be conditions so good that ...
