Re: Eastern ND or Western MN

David, you are correct, it would mainly be for the adventure of it and it would be a "cheaper" trip for me. I will be checking our more of eastern ND for more public land. I do have good coon hunting here it would just be fun for a change of scenery and maybe better hides or bigger coon? I...

Eastern ND or Western MN

Have been toying with the idea of possibly taking a trip out there next fall for a few days or a week to kill some coon. Any recommendations of where to go or where to avoid? Would be fun to maybe meet up with someone around there to hunt with but doesn't matter. Plan to hunt just public land. PM me...

Re: Sweet talking treeing walkers in wis

When I was maybe 13 or 14 when I was just getting into hunting I found there ad on this site or coondawgs or some forum that said started dog free to youth hunter. I met them at a field trial. He was a skinny little male that had 3 or 4 huge spots of missing hair. Being young and dumb I believed all...

Re: best coon light

I have a laser torch 2 that is a decent light seems to last a long time on a charge. Only two settings dim and bright. Very tight spot though. Just bought a boss bump cap light from conkeys. I've yet to hunt with someone that has a brighter light. I'd recommend one and I usually don't recommend much...

Buddy I was just wondering if this is actually going to happen. You have had it on the du supply site for awhile. Is it coming soon? Have you seen one? If you have how does it compare to astro or alpha? Thanks.

Re: Best feet you have seen?

Well maybe I should say have you guys ever seen white pads or multi color pads that held up good in dry, dirt conditions or crusty snow or like Mike pointed out sometimes the blood is from Higher up the leg. So maybe is there a line of thicker skinned hounds out there or is the dark pigment the real...

Re: Best feet you have seen?

I agree with you southern fox color of pads does make a difference. The inbalming fluid idea is interesting. NYCOYOTEHOUNDS you don't ever have problems with there feet on real hard crusty snow?

Best feet you have seen?

Just wondering if any of you guys have noticed certain lines of running dogs or tree dogs or mixed that have abnormally tuff feet. I'm talking dogs that can run on bad snow day after day and there feet are still decent. Maybe they aren't out there. Just curious.
