a spare horse with canvas panniers that slide over a saddle would probably be the best bet, especially if you are new to horses. just be sure the tines don't poke the horse through the canvas

I agree about getting a cur. mine happens to be a Black Mouth Cur. Hunt it during the day and sleeps on my sons bed at night

Old thread dug up. When you go hunting with hounds, you do exactly that. You hunt with them. With Cur's, they hunt with you. I have a Ladner bred BMC. Hard tree dog. with a whistle he comes off the tree. He goes camping with me, horseback riding with me, goes to work with me(I run the grounds depart...

I think your Toyota will do just fine...... I have a 5 month old Black Mouth Cur I am introducing to the horse and horse to him. Be nice to hunt squirrel up in the hardwoods from the horse. Now I just have to get y mare used to the gunshots near her just like you are talking about. I plan on starting at feeding time with a cap gun, then a goo...
