Re: gundogs x bulls

I've done a lot of what you list with a Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Labs too. They are companion dogs/gun dogs that are easily trained and won't blow out after game simply for the chase. Just a thought.

Re: Pak boots

Check out Hoffman Boots on the web. Great boot. I have the 16 " guide boot. Not sure about uninsulated.

Beagle girl. Check out Hoosier tree Dog Alliance on FB. I am a cofounder of that organization post what you are looking for and why on our page and I am sure one of our members will help.

Re: Obedience Training

Yeah right Mike. The first thing I noticed about your dogs was the lack of prey drive. Especially when those eight month old pups swan that bayou to get in a race! HA HA!

Re: THE TOUGHEST HOUND BREED????????????

Why are you pissed off? I thought you were trying to draw Plott guys out and going to enjoy it. I was being serious about swapping hunts. I have seen great dogs in every breed and celebrate awesome dog work when I see it. I was just offering up exposure to you for some great plotts. There is quite a ...

Re: THE TOUGHEST HOUND BREED????????????

Fallriver I'll swap an eastern bear hunt with quality Plotts for a quality western hunt with walkers. You are in the wrong part of the country to have a large exposure. North Carolina is the birthplace of the plott. There are many misconceptions about plotts. I always tell people that there are few ...

I would like to know what state, county and the gentleman so this can be verified through public records before we start bashing LEO s. Should be easy to do that with a little info.

Re: cold nosed bobcat dogs

Tim Pittman has it figured out. Most people turning dogs loose do not understand scent or environmental effects upon it. A Houndsman does.
If all you are looking for is opinions, message boards are great. If you want facts and proven theory read books such as "Scent" by Milo Pearsall or "Scent and ...

Boone and the Christmas Coon

Boone and the Christmas Coon

'Twas the night before Christmas and it was still in the holler.
Not a creature was stirring when I let go of his collar.

Into the dark and away he flew, a big brindle hound, not red, not black and definitely not blue.

It wasn't long and as I gazed at a star, a long ...
