most cat hunters around here carry a telescoping pole,i think you getem at cabelas,i know there not cheap.one guy i used to know carried a 20 foot pvc pipe with him on his way to the tree,it actualy worked pretty well as he atached one end to his belt and it just drug behind himand would bend around ...

great idea about the paintball gun,i cant carry a gun when im hunting in mexico near the border,so if we tree a bobcat and the tree is to tall for me to climb my fat but up it and shake the cat out i must lead everything back to the truck.pretty hard by myself with 8-11 dogs,i stopped at the border ...

there is a man here on the forum that has bear dogs in southeast alaska,his name is ray slayton.he told me that each area has its own bioligist that sets a season.some areas have year round seasons and some dont.

ive been getting all my wormer and other meds from mexico as im only an hour away,all american products and dirt cheap,also using a vet there.

congradulations,you are on a roll this year.looks like fun Cookie and Burger have only seen 4 bears this spring and when they opened up in the truck I thought what the heck lets see if them pups are starting to figure out the game. 800 yards later this young boar was up the tree.

i have never heard one bad word about mike kemp,and the one dog of his that i have hunted did an outstanding job at 8 or nine months ,1500 is cheap these days

i dont know if that cross was planned,but it looks to be working,an old guy named charlie ryder in woodburn oregon once told me that a labrador had a better nose than any hound,dont know how true it is though cathoundtex, those hounds are the finest Chilcotin treeing potlikers in the country.
