I just went through the exact same issue. The only thing that fixed it was removing all the dogs and then putting them back in.

Hans, glad you had a good hunt. Mine couldn't of been anymore fun. I am goind to try and hunt with Mr. Hillbilly every year. Lynx hunting in that country is a hound hunters dream.

I like to use .100, but I do not seem weld very much of it. I also use a spool gun. They are not the best way to weld aluminum, as it is a very strange metal to weld. If you are going to weld a bunch of it use .125" - better yet, figure out how to have it bent and avoid as many welds as you can...
