NM is good the Santa Fe NF is good. To hunt lions you need to take an id course on the nmgf site. Here's a link to the site and rules and info book.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I think physically she is developing great. When i "walk" her we usually put in a few miles at a time. I've taken her on several hikes for about 12-15 miles and she does great. I will be cautious of course.

She is already wanting to go. It will be hard to keep her from trailing bears. We've had several bears in our neighborhood this summer and she gets right on thier scent. When we go for a walk she is trailing like crazy for whatever it might be (cats, dogs, fox, bear, etc..) I am reducing the walks ...

Training in Heat
Can i continue training my 5mo blue tick/walker while she is in "heat"? She will complete her 1st cycle right when the bear season ends. I would love to get her on a bear soon.
