Alpha 100 wont turn on
My alpha wont turn on. When I hit the power button, it shows Garmin, says it is loading maps and then fades to almost black where I can barely read Garmin. Then it eventually goes completely Blank. I need help. My bear hunt is in two days. Any advice from anyone?

rigging bear
I went out yesterday with my dogs just to see if we could rig a bear. I had a dog open hard from the box and we found a track. My question is, how old of a scent trail can the dogs rig from the box on? The dog that rigged has opened on a 23hr old lion track in the past. (Pic of lion in trailcam.)

Re: Building a dog box
I was going to make mine taller, and I knew it would be better for the dogs that way, but I didnt like the way it looked sticking above the top of the cab. If I have any problems, I can always add extra height, But we will see this summer and fall. Thanks for the info.

Anyone know
a houndsman in Casa Grande Az. named Nick? I have access to some pups from a couple of his dogs and was wondering if they are good lion or bear dogs.

Re: Roading the dogs while training.
Side note I hear they lost another transplanted big horn sheep in the Catalina Mountains ... that's 5 in a months time. At that rate they are not going to last the year, they only put 31 in. Must be a lot of lions in there. I know its a rugged mtn but I can't help thinking it would be a good place ...

I parked the truck and took off acroos the desert with a caged animal (They didnt see it). I found a good wash and set the cage in it near the base of a tree. Then took a scent...

Re: Hound with no interest.
Snow walker, that sounds like a good idea. I never thought of that. I might have to take him out alone and see what happens.

Kennel or Chain?
Where does eveyone keep their dogs when at home? Kennels? Chained? I am looking for ideas.Right now 3 of mine are chained and the rest are in a fenced yard. I am thinking of putting them all in 2 dog kennels 5-6 feet wide and 10-12 feet long. with concrete floors. Post some pics of yours.

telemetry collars.
So, I am looking at telemetry collars now. I have the Garmin alpha 100 and tt10 collars, but thinking of adding the Marshall powermax with LED's and a Marshall 800 reciever. My question is, should i order all my telemetry collars with the same frequency or different frequencies? Or do I even have an...

Re: Building a dog box
An idea I had was to weld conduit or just more square steel on the inside with open ends so I can run wiring to the lights and the dogs can't get to it. Probably just put Napa flood lights on each corner since they are cheap.
