You can run coon, deer, moose, fox, coyote, rabbit and bear with hounds in Ontario but only in season and with a licence for coon deer moose and bear. Not sure about cats but they are mainly up north

I remember 3 or 4 years ago we had good snow early and then got crust and no snow for about 6 weeks , it was brutal Hopefully this snow will stick for a while but the dogs are so sore from a good days run they don't want to come out for 3 days and these are year olds. We got fresh snow yesterday but real windy and cold. Two fresh tracks this morning and the dogs hardly said boo. Found another they started and eventually went to the right guy that could shoot. Just a small one but even it didn't seem to leave much scent.

Looks like we are finally going to get some snow. Young dogs have been doing great considering the ice, got two Saturday and one today. If you are by yourself a slow dog is best , they generaly don't head out of Dodge. Fast dogs you need a jet mobile to get ahead of them. I like black and tan cross and now have 3 11/2 year old plot crossed with my big bluetick that last year run beyond my expectations. We got one this fall and ...
