Re: !!! The Ultimate Bobcat Dog...Part 1.5 !!!

Hey Dan, I wanna thank you for taking the time to post all the information you're learning from your experiences here. I greatly enjoy reading them and I hope you continue to post about this subject. I also hope that even if this experiment doesn't work out that you don't give up and keep trying. Th...

Re: !!! The Ultimate Bobcat Dog...Part 1.5 !!!

Ok so for those of you just passing through what Dan and Goose are talking about are sex linked traits. These traits are passed on from one generation to the next through the genes that determine gender. I'm sure you know that an xx chromosomal pair = female and xy = male. A really cool thing is the...

Re: !!! The Ultimate Bobcat Dog...Part 1.5 !!!

The one area I know of that a female brain differs for that of the male's lays in the corpus callosum. The corpus callosum is the hard ware that that communicates between the right and left cerebral hemispheres. The femal brain tends to have a much more myelinated corpus callosum. Which aids in mult...

Haha, the vast majority of the time I used a Volkswagen Jetta diesel. Laugh all you want, it got 52 miles to the gallon.

Re: Music video

Dang David that is a pretty good little tune. I did not know you played guitar. One of these days if were ever in the same neck of the woods will have to do some picking and grinning. I may or may not have recognized A dog or two in that video. Thanks for sharing

Re: Lynx

Justin: I put Tanner and Red on the first one, it was a fresh track. Tanner opened a few times right off ,Red did not say a thing for a little bit but took the track. Both treed hard, I think they got up on it real quick and did not give it a chance to run. It was a nice tom so I took it from then ...

Hey Dan, I was listing to this fella on the radio today by the name of Floyd. He was talking about catching lions down in Arizona with a stag he got from a friend in Wisconsin. Anyhow, he said it was a smart smart dog. It was interesting to say the least. Just thought I might share.

Trouble sleeping

You guys that used to hunt but can't anymore have trouble sleeping? Man I don't know if it's that time of year or what but here lately Ive been absolutely struggling to get any kind of decent sleep. I lay awake at night reminisce about turning out dogs. I sure do miss the feeling of cracking open th...

Re: world championship catdog competion

Mr Red Barron, I really wish you would stop trying to turn these various threads into a place of political debate. There is a section on this web site for that vary thing. It's labeled under the politics forum. If there's a time and a place for politics in this web site that will no doubt be your be...

Re: Tracking blood or wounded deer

Yeah man, it's pretty easy and most dogs with half a brain can be taught. The trick is to be sure to let your dog know that there is a big difference between chasing a healthy deer and tracking a wounded deer. I assume you laika's run silent so it might be a little harder to catch umm trashing on de...

Re: Getting started on coon hunting

Coonslayer101, I feel as though your name and mouth are throwing out conflicting ideas. I mean I half to assume that your dogs are without a doubt perfect and at the top of the game. Because passing judgment on another mans ability under any less of a circumstance would prove your just an asshole. A...
