Alpha issues

Alpha worked fine yesterday, today turns on to the black "Garmin" screen and the green bar at the bottom gets to halfway full, then it turns off on its own. Battery is at 100% - same thing happens when it is plugged in. Any one else have similar issues? or have a solution?

Re: where to start in the mule game

I have browsed Ty Evans' website and will probably be calling them shortly gor a chat. Mike, that is actually one of the websites I visited before posting here and I spent a considerable amount of time cruising through his YouTube channel as well. I understand the dangers of horses/mules pretty well...

where to start in the mule game

I'm starting to seriously consider getting a couple mules to hunt lion with in NM so I can cover a bit more ground instead of walking everywhere. I'm looking to get some advice as to how best to get started. I've looked online at some clinics but they all seem to require having a mule - which seems ...

Breeding reference

Anyone have recommendations for reference materials on breeding/genetics? I'm looking to gain some insight on proper selection of breeding pairs, how traits may/may not be passed on via breeding, things to know for first time breeding, etc. I'm not planning on breeding anything anytime soon, as I cu...

I have just been trying to gather ideas prior to building my first "real" truck box. Hope it works for you once you get it mounted up

Re: Flatbed with dogbox

Jeff,

How's the box working for you? Anything you would change? Have any pics of the finished product?

Automatic feeder

Anyone have any ideas on an automatic feeder setup? I'm having trouble finding someone to swing by and feed dogs while I'm out of town, so I'm looking for some kind of automatic feeder to tide me over for 3-4 days while I'm gone so I don't have to drag dogs along. Currently have 3 in a shared kennel...

Re: Cold trail surprises

I think that it would really depend on what the lion was up to. Sometimes it seems like when they are in cruising mode they can go 10 miles overnight, so probably a low chance of us being able to overcome 2 nights of that kind of travel. However, it also could have made a kill or been layed up not t...

Cold trail surprises

I have been working towards the goal of having legit bareground capable lion dogs for the last few years, starting with a few pups and a tight budget. I think something finally clicked in my dogs this weekend and it took me completely by surprise. We went out for a walk about on Friday in an area th...

Re: Stubborn pup

Thanks for the comments thus far. Yes, I have been free casting her with the older dogs and that has been where I've had issues. The older ones give me the "heck no, wasn't me" look as she's hauling arse outta there. Surpringly we've jumped some deer before, giving her opportunity to sight...

Re: Flatbed with dogbox

Looks good. Did you use any type of coating/spacers between the steel and aluminum? I've heard there can be corrosion issues in the long term if you do not. Any way, Looks good

Stubborn pup

Looking for some advice on trash breaking a super stubborn pup. I have a ~10 mo female that has been trying to run elk. I can hit her with an 18 on the Garmin and it doesn't phase her at all. At most, I see a slight head twitch and she'll keep on running with no end in sight. I have a second female ...

Re: Inconspicuous hunting rig ideas?

Brian,

On the "tool box" is the door removable or does it just flip up and ride horizontal on top of the box? Very cool idea
