STOLEN dogs near Willow Creek, CA

Hop Sullivan had two dogs stolen while hunting near Willow Creek, CA last night on November 21, 2015. One dog is a female bluetick and the other is a female catahoula. The dogs telemetry collars were taken off and hidden behind a stump near a neighborhood near Hennesy ridge. Pics of the dogs are bel...

Re: BILL INTRODUCED TO BAN PURSUIT OF BEAR AND BOBCAT IN CA

What about CEQA? Can we not get this reversed since it was NOT based on scientific research?

Re: BILL INTRODUCED TO BAN PURSUIT OF BEAR AND BOBCAT IN CA

Doesn't CHC already have $330,000 in their account that they can hire some attorneys with? I was told they didn't want to use the money in case we beat the bill and had to fight this on the ballot in the near future. I don't know if this is true or not but I sure wish we didn't lose this war with bu...

Re: TURNING COLLARS OFF!!!

DC: I had a similar thing happen a few weeks ago with my Marshall collars. I was convinced that someone turned off the collar or the dog was stolen. Fortunately I stayed up there looking for her until I finally had some cal fire guys spot the dog and give me an idea of where she was at. Long story s...

Re: GPS in California

It justs shows the HSUS true colors even more when I can not protect my hound. You think they would want us to be able to protect our hounds by using gps. Even for the game its better. We can get there sooner, evaluate if its something that we want and decide to take it or let it go. Stop the pack b...

Re: GPS in California

I know what your getting at. You have valid points to argue but the dfg wardens are set in their ways and it will be difficult to argue with a kid who went to Berkley and has never hunted a day in there life. Its also tough to argue them when they are taught in their warden school that the biggest p...

Re: GPS in California

You can not use it while training in CA. You will lose your tag for a season and they will write you up on treeing switches also. Its not worth it.

Re: what do you feed your hounds

The best dog food I have ever used was Enhance Hunters Edge. The dogs look good, are full of energy, one dark hard turd a day and I only feed them 2 cups a day unless I'm hunting them hard. The worst dog food I have ever used was Ol' Roy. Constant shits. Didnt think much of Pedigree, PKC or Black Go...

Re: Ca. Hunters Read Important info on tree Switches & GPS!!

From what I was told by some of the active members of COHA was that we needed the wardens support to get it passed. The president of COHA Bill Gaines had a meeting with the warden chief Nancy Foley and she had some idea that if she supported the change that she would want us to have to register our ...

Lets clarify. I never once mentioned Brents name. I said, " Mike is not foolish enough to show these types of videos." Enough said.

Re: Best stud dog that you know?

As far as non deceased stud dogs I would have to say Mike Kemps sharp dog. I've got a male out of Mike's Blackjack dog and a sister to Sharp and the dog is double tough. I've also got dogs out of his Hollywood and Sharp dogs too. All nice dogs that are tough, fast and early starters.

Re: Best stud dog that you know?

I do agree with you that taking people in the woods is a good thing but showing people that have never been exposed to hunting a bear get pulled down by dogs and killed give groups like HSUS more ammo to take our hunting rights away. I think your trying to debate a different point than what I am mak...

Re: Best stud dog that you know?

I don't recall hiding in shame hence why I use my real name on here. I just said it is foolish to show videos that the antis will use against us. That in your face attitude will make us lose in the end.

Re: Best stud dog that you know?

No offense taken by me but to clarify Mike is not foolish enough to show these types of videos and the majority of the dogs in Mikes videos are the young ones that most of us are buying. Pretty darn good for a year old dog.
