Re: Wyoming Houndsmen Association
License sales have nothing to do with cat trapping. The license is a furbearer license not a cat trapping license. It has to be bought for many other reasons. The only data relevant is that pertaining to cats. And I'm checking into the data further since I believe this years total number was incorre...

Re: Wyoming Houndsmen Association
WyoPlott, I think you are the one that needs to research your facts. The Wy G&F data shows this... In the 10/11 season there were 377 bobcat trappers who harvested a total of 1411 bobcats which was an average of 3.7 cats per trapper. In the 14/15 season there were 287 bobcat trappers who harvest...

Re: Wyoming Houndsmen Association
I have no problem visiting with anyone, but all the coffee in the world is never going to change my mind as far as game and fish management and bobcats. Take Montana for instance. Re: Wyoming Houndsmen Association
Wyoplott, As I discussed with Tex the other day on the phone, the harvest is down because the cat numbers are down. The cat numbers are down because the rabbits crashed a few years ago. It has nothing to do with harvest by sportsmen. As the rabbits are coming back so are the Bobcats. This cycle is c...

Re: Wyoming Houndsmen Association
You need to leave the bobcat seasons and quotas as is. I can't see any benefit to anyone including houndsmen by further regulating the hunters and trappers of Wyoming. The G&F will let you write more rules so they can write more tickets, but in the end we all lose. If you want to attack a long o...

Re: Trapping on Public Land
As close as I can tell, the Wyoming Houndsmen Association is as much of an anti trapping organization as Wyoming Untrapped. Every issue you have brought forth is to limit trapping or enforce new rules for your benefit only. Any dog owner can easily train dogs to avoid snares and traps or at least to...
