The coon hunting I've done and even calling hog dogs off of a bay, to me, I make sure to do plenty of praising just like I did when I shot a coon out or when I catch a hog. I reassure them that that is what I wanted from them. After that I don't think there's much right or wrong, leading, toning ...

This is an old thread but will give my two cents...Micheal bloodgoods Mountain View Gold Nugget was a Kemmer gold nugget bred dog and he was a looker...

Kemmers Gold Nugget produced cold nosed track driving dogs with lots of hunt...many were large dogs that also excelled in long range winding ...

This is an old thread...but I have had quite a few kemmers and I liked those that had gold nugget breeding...they are great hunting dogs with good gritt and excellent winding nose...they have a good style of stopping a Hog...

Read below...this man tells me his dogs a big, houndy, and cold nosed...he says he trees 90 percent of the bears his dogs start...I don't like big and houndy or cold nose...but I love lots of grit and he said his dogs have that...

This is an old thread but I am picking up 2 pups...full Kamphouse bred from Dons nephew...he runs bear and coyote with them...I just hope he has the same plott breeding skills and the eye for a good dog as Don had...he has the same philosophy as I do so I think I will be happy with these pups...
