Thoughts on training dogs to run bear and coyote. I have heard mixed answers. Would like to know who does this, and if anyone also throws bob’s in the mix. Interested in cons vs pros. How often will a dog leave a cold trail bear for a coyote? Any input would be appreciated. Also how do coyotes run ...

Looking for a finished cat dog, can also hunt bear but would prefer nothing else. I would need to see the dog hunt solo. Looking for something that can work and jump a cat and will not be messed up by younger dogs that are learning. PM me if you have something.

Looking at sending my dog to training for a month, to get him on some bears. Is there any recommendations out there or people to stay away from? I want the dog to go during a kill season and want it to be in the next few months.

Also is there anyone out there that trains dogs on bobcat?

Ok I will look into this. I live in northeast Michigan and that’s where I will be training and running. My plan is to get this guy trained and hopefully hit the trail running next season.

Also good to know. I unfortunately do not have any of those hides. I have been using a soft toy with some scent on it. I have had him trail it already and he does well. But is still very much a puppy with the attention span of a nat.
