Re: Putting weight on a dog

Also make sure you use a quality wormer. Wormers have been discussed in depth on this site but some ...

With those symptoms it struck me right off that dog needed professional care and the time for home remedies and waiting had passed. Hope all turned out for the best.

Re: German short hair for fox?
Not trying to change the topic of this post but I saw something interesting several weeks ago, at least I thought so. I was at a meeting of the Virginia Dept. of Game and Inland Fisheries and one of the new trainees to the DGIF K-9 core was a GSP. Most of the dogs are labs. I talked with the CPO (Ga...

Re: Bobcat bite infection
LDHarris, Very interesting point. Don't take this next question as offensive, but wonder why I have never heard of this being prescribed before.Did you have a vet recommend this to you? (Once again, not doubting your word at all) This really got me thinking and it does make good sense. Thanks for br...

Re: Pocahontas bred plott
One thing Gene Walker never did was sit around and bad mouth EVERYONE else's dogs and he never seemed to be struggling to peddle dogs like the above poster. Don't be afraid to try a Pocahontas plott. I have a gyp that suits me just fine.

Re: Gun Rally in VA: Big Fail for CNN and the Left
Ralph Northam and his cabinet will try to promote their anti gun and anti 1st amendment agenda to the maximum. The only freedom of speech they want is for themselves and the Constitution, either U.S. or State, be damned. Northam, a Dr. supposedly, was even pushing for abortion into the third trimest...

Hope you have a good trip and hunting adventure! Give us a post when you get back. Will be interesting to hear what you did that worked and what you would do different. Be safe, keep the dogs safe, and have fun.

Re: rig box roof material
I would say you will be happiest with the bed liner providing it gives sufficient traction so the dogs aren't constantly slipping and falling. Never seen rubber used. I have outdoor carpet on the roof of my dog box and really like it but I don't rig dogs on it and I feel sure it would be a real pain...

The medical exam
The nurse asked a patient to remove his clothing and put on a gown to be checked by the doctor. "In..in front of you?" He mumbles, shy. The nurse says: "Don't worry, I've seen the naked human body before. The man said, "Not one like mine. You'd die laughing at my naked body."...

Re: Barking on chain
Don't put up with much at all. If he gets away with that he is learning that he doesn't have to obey you. The sooner he learns you are boss and you mean for him to listen to you the sooner you will have a dog that is enjoyable to be around. That is best for you and him both.
