I never knew bear and cougar were torn up by hounds as is fox in England by the well-to-do. I've been told that dogs can be torn up by large predators. One has to choose the best rifle, caliber and load for fox. Depending upon range, load and rifleman skills, .17 HMR might not produce an instant kill. What do American deer hunters need to know about chronic wasting disease?

1. Where can a hunter have his quarry tested? 2. What is done to safeguard the meat until the test results are gotten? I would hate to spend money on deer processing only to find out the animal tests positive later on. Can the meat be preserved before butchering while the CWD testing is in progress?...
