Idaho Spring Bear hunts

I can fit in one or two hunters next month for a bear hunt with hounds or over bait. With this early spring bears will be moving well. Hunts are 5 days with everything included except license. I will give a discount price of $2000.00 if booked for May.

Re: who makes the dog

Buckles makes some good points. Simply put I think the dog has to have the natural ability in them and they need to be put on the game and the hunter has to bring that ability out in them.

I like to use the athlete analogy. I used to love to play hockey. I was on skates since the time I could walk ...

Guided Mule Deer hunts

We have a couple of openings for mule deer this fall. The general rifle season is Oct. 10-24 and tags are over the counter. There is the potential to kill a great buck. This is a physical hunt so come prepared.

I'm not sure if Tom was the man responsible or not but I do know he passed away on Monday after Plott Days in a work related accident.

Re: ? about selling dogs

I agree, give a trial with a written agreement. I sold a bear dog last season to a guy who needed help for his other dog. We had a written agreement. The dog did not hunt for him to his liking, as a matter of fact he told me the dog is a cull in his opinion, so I gave him his $$ back when he ...

Re: wanted dead or alive!

I had 2 coyotes stolen of of my traps this year and two others shot and not with a .22. It really sucks that people can't leave other peoples stuff alone. I like the sign idea Dean.

Re: Cameron Blueticks

I had a great little Cameron male that died this past winter. He had alot of desire and grit but saw the same thing Hi Tech did on longer races. He would not quit until he couldn't go anymore but he could have picked his head up and covered ground a little faster. He was a good bear dog and lion dog.

Re: prolapsed walker

I've also had a dog do this and as Mark said keep the part that is sticking out moist. You can also use lubricating jelly for this. The vet also told me to push it back in daily (which was not pleasant) and don't let it get sun burned. After she comes out of heat get her fixed because it will happen ...

Re: snow machine fanatics

I have the same sled and have had the same problem. Rebuilt it once with a New jug/piston etc.($700) and it blew again. Now it is a parts sled. I think one of the jugs is still good. Plus I have other parts. Will consider selling whole sled if you are interested

Re: MUtts,Hienz 57, Scrubs or whatever other name you want

I used to have a Rottwieller that would hunt Grouse and rabbits. She would chase the rabbits although not quite like a beagle and would start to get "birdy", so I knew she when was about to flush a grouse. I shot quite a few critters in front of her.
She was also my trapline dog. If I was checking ...
