Grand Lakes
A friend of mine has a few young females that are really showing a lot for young dogs. They have big noses and great wheels. Anyone have experience with grand lakes dogs? I think these females are going to be really good and we are looking around for studs.

New Tacoma questions
How do you guys like the new tacomas for cat hunting. I am looking at a 6 speed standard transmission 6 cylinder. One of the trucks has a manual locking differential that can only be used in 4 low and one doesn't. Is it a big difference? How does all the traction control bs work in 20 inches of snow ...

Re: Jagds on bobcats?
That's a really impressive terrier then. I wouldn't have expected him to cold trail at all. I did hear about someone having one that rigged bear though. The few I have been around were tough dogs.

Glad you are doing well CJC! Our health is easy to take for granted until it slips a bit, at least for me it was! I am looking forward to your next hunting story......I'm sure the cats aren't.

Re: Ryan's motorcycle accident
Thanks a lot guys, I'll be fine I just need a few months to get my pads toughened back up. I just got a "walker" it's slow and squeaks every step lol. I am probay two or three months away from being able to put any weight on my right leg. That's what will hold me back the most. I just have to wait ...

Re: There is no snort to it!!!!
Mackdog, I can only speak for myself but I am not trying to handicap the trappers. I just got back from checking my sets. Just keep my hounds safe. Is there a big disadvantage to a relaxing snare? I have never used either type. I don't agree on the tracking system theory, they don't hurt anyone. You ...

Mackdog,
"It doesn't bother me if a dog gets into a snare that relaxes and doesn't choke the dog out. It doesn't bother me if a dog steps into a leg hold. It isn't great but we share the woods. But if some dumb ass thinks it is better to use conibear on dry ground to catch cats or coyotes then ...

Re: A bobcat hunting book
Ya right, I think it was more like; let me drop this dumb ass off at the bottom of the mountain and I'll drive around and eat a sandwich at the tree and see if he can make it! That was a great time jcat, I may have to invite myself back! Your dogs and woodsmanship amazed me.

Re: Running dog, Trigg x hounds
I thought it would be a great thread too, I was waiting to see some pics of D Waltons hounds. I can't help you much Andy but I will try to take a pic of a 3 year old trigg/walker I got last year. She is in training not getting it done by any means. She was actually a little to straight last year ...
