Deploying soon need place for dogs to work
I'm going to Afghanistan this spring. I have two dogs that need working while I'm gone. The greyhoundX has caught most game from squirrel to hog. He is a great throat & chest dog on coon, fox & such, but he is getting too oldto consistantly take fast game unless conditions are ideal. The Dane loves ...

if you want more than a 22lr but not too much, consider a 327 magnum revolver. you can download to 32 H&R mag, or 32 S&W shorts. you can even handload super light loads using 31 caliber round ball (used for cap & ball blackpowder pistols).

the magazine won't improve if you don't tell them what you want. right now before your subscription is up, call or e-mail. tell them your plans & what they could do to keep you.

Re: Tennessee Hoggers
No hunting in catoosa anymore either. I hope they take over, I wouldnt kill a hog in Tn for it. Now I give all my money to surrounding states that allow hog hunting with dogs. IMO the only thing twra intends to eradicate is the hound hunters. Their working on bear hunters right now. IMO That has a ...

Re: Question???
i'm gonna disagree. you CAN run bulldogs IF you get them in shape to run. most people don't. they either don't know what it takes to get them in running shape or aren't willing/able to put in the work to get them running.
i will also put forward the possibility that you're running too many rough ...

Re: were to live
southern states seem the best w/ over the counter kill tags & bigger bag limits on bobs.
by comparison UT is lotteried kill tags so if you stumble on a great bear or lion during a year when you are pursuit only you have to hope some guide doesn't put it up a tree for some nimrod deer shooter that ...

siberia covers pretty much the entire region from the urals to the pacific & the arctic to the gobi desert. in that area MOST is populated by small & medium species like the steppe, caspian, iranian & himalayan wolves.

Re: wolf hunting with hounds video from 1910
those are steppe wolves from central asia & ukraine, a medium species that lacks the aggression of the big canadians introduced into the western states. there are modern videos of hunts in Khazakstan. the big subarctic russian/siberian greys are no bigger nor any different in personality from the ...

Re: Grey Hounds on hogs
they try hard but don't seem to control the hogs. seems to work best if you cross in some kind of bulldog, or if you pair them w/ a good leggy bulldog or mastiff breed.

Re: I need some honest answers
i say as long as your buddy & other folks want to take on the effort of proving (or disproving) the cross, go ahead. if they turn out world beaters you can always repeat the cross and get some. if they, don't he won't ask for a repeat. either way all it costs you is letting your boy get a little ...

Re: revisiting pitt bulls
start w/ the ADBA and the APBT gazette. after the UKC went mainstream most all the old time dogmen went to the ADBA.
stay away from the "giant" pitbull lines like dagger, whopper, big block, gotti, grey line & razors edge. all of them have some kind of mastiff bred in to increase size. unfortunately ...
