Re: Anyone know this dog, red branded plott, California
The M and W freeze branded on the ears is MIke Williams...he use to and may still run an add as Neshoba Kennels or soemthing like that. He sells alot of dogs so I would assume it is not his but u could possibly start there. If no one can find the owner she is definately worth a shot at rescuing.

Re: shy dogs hereditary????
I will have to disagree....although some shyness in dogs is man made, some is hereditary. My partners and I have it in a few of our dogs and it can be traced back to a single gyp. Remember all dogs were at one time wild and have been domesticated. It is in there and will come out occasionally. If i ...

Re: Jeff Allen pups question
I also think that the # of days a dog is hunted on dangerous game in a row are a big factor. I have some retired buddies that will hunt 4-6 days a week for 5 months straight. A really rough and bad dog will back out on you if you get him on enough rough hogs or bear in a row. I think dogs have a ...

Re: Jeff Allen pups question
I live in south Al and hunt here and in Florida. We have alot of thick stuff as well. I think people have a huge misconception about dogs and their mental capacity. They are not robots. You get a dog that has been hurt, I mean mashed down, pulled under a bear, and had the helpless fealing of being ...

cat & grey fox dog
Crossed up july/walker male dog 2 years old. I bought to try him on hogs. Have had him on 14 hogs in 20 days and he is still iffy at a bay at best. Extremely broke....no deer at all. Open the gate and tell to load and he will get in the box. When you get home open the box and he will stand at his ...

Probably Greg Harrison was the man you bought them from and the man was Elbert Watford (sp??) that bred them. Elbert is from the Baker area in the Panhandle.

Re: Another bad dog deal.......
That is great and I hope the dog turns out for everyone interested. Why someone would shock a dog for not hunting is beyond me. It is great that Ryan is doing everything the right way and you are correct that it will probably work out since she had already had a good base set down. Now for the other ...

Re: Another bad dog deal.......
Ok...now here is the real question. I guess there is no obligation BUT...you, Poser, say you feel real bad. If she doesn't straighten out are you going to refund the $1500. I mean all of the other expenses should be on him, but the $1500 purchase price should be for a dog that is as you say. Don't ...

Long Haired Leopards
I just bought a pair of leapords. The male came straight from McDuffie as a pup and there was also a female bought at the same time. The male was bred to the female and 2 of the pups came with really long hair. The man I bought them from kept 1 of the long haired females. She is doing really well ...
