my last thoughts for everyone. if your just getting in to hunting with dogs. find some old timer that catch lots and lots of game and try to tag along as much as possible. when he has pups do what ever you have to, to get one or two. having good blooded dogs is the key to being successful. papers ...

i got to go out this year and turn a dog in about 15 or so fox races in brush that goes for miles. a dog really has to know how to get through the woods. i got to hunt with fox hunter sonny turner. when those dogs are pouring it on it sounds as good as a bear race. i almost don't waiste my time ...

speed would be mine. not so much the dog being fast but being able to move a track fast enough to get the game jumped when your fox or bobcat hunting.

using scent to train and to break are a big waiste of time. the best way to train and break a dog is to hunt them consistantly on wanted game. or course a nice trashbreaker is helpful since we all know young dogs can't turn them deer down. cut good tracks and don't turn loose on strikes with no ...
