Let him hunt. I have a dog that sounds alot like that. If there is no action he will go find his own. He really doesnt care what the other dogs are doing and I love that. I've just learned that he if spilts off from the pack I have a better chance at catching two bears. I just wish I could get some ...

Just wanted to know how many guys out their keep some live coon around for trainers. I was thinking about getting a few myself. I know there is a permit process involved. I have talked to the state about it just wanted to know if its worth the extra effort.

Kennel floor dirt or gravel?
I finished my kennel setup a little while back. Right now it is just a dirt floor but I was thinking of putting gravel in it. I think it would be easier to clean and wont have to worry about those little mud puddles. So what would be better dirt or gravel? If gravel what type and how big? My kennel ...

New mexico coon hunters
Was just wondering where is a good place to hunt in NM. I run bear and lion and my dogs do pretty good at that would like to try running coon. I think it would be a good help to the younger dogs and help me teach a few of them to tree a littler harder.

Re: what is harder
I would say that I have to agree with whats alreasy been said. The smaller bears seem to cover more miles and from what I can tell jump ship alot faster. It seems like the dogs tree those smaller bears a few times before we can actually get in their to them.

Re: how much exersize?
Majestic just have to say I love that set up, if I had me a nice field and a pond like that I think all I would do is play with the hounds in that pond. Of course I would have to take a break from playing every now and then and hunt, nice set up.
