Re: What age and why?

For the original question, at what age and why....I begin to carry mine when they look to be big enough to follow along behind the big dogs and not get too lost. No specific reason why, just how I've always done it. Time of year and running I'm having or if I'm hunting close to home or hours away al...

Re: Treeing

That one was a grey fox, but we tree some cats too. I live in Va. Ga has serval top hunters and hounds men for fox/cat hunting. Them guys who run those liquor dogs outside down there keep good dogs.

I do enjoy a good cat race though, carrying a dead cat out always more exciting than a fox, but probably because cats aren’t as ...

Re: Question of the Day

I don’t lion hunt however I’m bored so I’ll chime in, i generally seem to give a dog (that isn’t causing problems) until they are 3 or so, if I don’t miss hearing them in my pack when I leave them at home at that age, it’s usually a sign I don’t need to feed that dog anymore.

Re: Most active

I prefer morning just after day break for the 1st couple hours. I have ran foxes during every hour of the day and night. Set up cameras and see when they move, if u can (not sure if it's legal) put out feed and put camera over it you will see when they are moving most. Cameras now will send pics you...

Re: Kinda slow

Mule, there are a lot of ways to try to get on good game when starting dogs, depending on whats legal in your area and the time and patience you have to do those things, IF it is legal do things like play a caller to try to entice game into road then cast on him hot, or at least it may get him up an...
