Re: Coyotes

boarhunter-A couple good stags are a coyotes worst nightmare...but they dont have to be 100lbs, and odds are real slim they would be IW.

Re: Hounding badgers?

Re: Hounding badgers?

If the badger was in a "hole" such as a man built wooden tunnel the badger was at a disadvantage IF the dog was strong and brave enough to charge into the animal and take a deep hold. A few dogs are. The badger cannot manuever in there and if ...

Re: kamphouse plott

I have hunted with Kyles dogs, as well as all the dogs behind them for three generations...as "cat and bear" said they are bear dogs, but they will catch lion and coon for ya to. Most the Kamphouse dogs are fast and gritty, remind folks of the old time Plott cur type dogs.

Re: Horse vs Mule

BennyG-Im talking Peruvian Paso. A bigger, stouter horse than the Paso Fino, and moves with more swing (termino) in the front than the Fino. Before riding my buddies Peruvians I wondered the same thing, and was always told the gaited horses were flatlanders. These Peruvians were bred in the ...

Re: Horse vs Mule

Well I found what I was looking for tonight. A beautiful, buckskin, Peruvian mare 8yo, gentle and smoooth! Been all over the Mtns, raised with kids and dogs, and has a head full of sense.
Thanks to all who gave me their input. I really appreciated it.

Take care.
