Re: Looking for some info
wheelerhounds.com I don't know anything about him except talking to him on the phone one time. I believe he only sells young started dogs but it would be worth a call.

Re: Ozark Cat Hunting
I’ve got mostly running dog crosses but plenty of cats have been caught with coon bred dogs. It doesn’t take a super fast dog to tree them but it does take a dog that can hold a track and pick up loses quick to run the wind out of them. And an honest tree dog that won’t lock up when they double back...

Hauler I recommend
Anybody whos looking for a dog hauled I highly recommend Mitch Davis who based out of Utah but has hauled for me from NC to CA. Most reasonably priced I've found and takes great care of them. He's not a hound guy (transports all breeds) or a typical hauler but does a great job. (385)261-8117

Owners. Very few, multiple male dogs can be left totally unsupervised for hours without having problems. Especially with dog houses in the pen.

Re: bobcat dogs northeastern vs western
Not young dogs then. Cat dogs don’t need to be fast although it helps. Have to be able to hold a track and push the wind out of them. Dogs that age should be able to catch a decent percentage of tracks jumped. You hunt with anybody?

Re: Age of track
A two day old fox track? I guess I need to get out more as I’ve never seen anything close to that.

Re: Another new member from CA
You have a lot of guys nearby that have some really good fox dogs. If your on Facebook ask to join Fox and Cat Broke dog hunting. If you ask there you will probably find several guys close by and often have pups. Be careful about getting hung up on a certain breed because it will limit you from gett...

Its hard for a person to know if their serious without a price listed. People's idea of "not cheap" vary substantially.

Re: Looking for paradise
Idaho, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Nevada are the only places I can think of off the top of my head you can run both lions and bears. Nevada is very limited on bears.
