Makes the bad memories come back!
Broke down up by Red Deer Alberta Canada hauling crude back to the USA, Threw a belt battery croaked, blizzard rocking,
Finally flagged down another trucker toward morning, legs turned black almost to knees, Blisters were so huge I couldn't even wear socks!

Re: Coons Think They Are Amadillos
AW Pitdawg, I surely apologize, I totally missed your reply, Im down in Price Ut,
I have considered hole dogs many times but wonder if my hounds would just snack on it,
My hounds are pretty mellow but a agressive terrier might get into a pickle, Then again I dont know much so maybe I am full of it ...

Re: Coons Think They Are Amadillos
Guys I hear you, I dont know if they are evolving or what, Treed coon is getting to be a rarity for me in utah.(at least in my area)
Dogs take them on the ground or get pulled away from a hole. very frustrating!!

Thanks for the reply, nope never had dealings with moccasin type snakes just rattlers,
and a few 2 legged snakes!
most of the rattlers I encounter are the great basin variety, not real big, not all that agressive, but sneaky and real good at being where my foot goes.
Thats why I was ...

Snake country
A question for you desert rat guys, I am not especially scared of snakes, But I do hunt in areas that have enough rattlers to keep a guy alert.
I am thinking of snake chaps this summer, Do you need boots and chaps?
or are the chaps alone good enough? I usually wear mid calf muck boots when in the ...

Re: IS ANYONE AWAKE
Slow Easy,
I know what you are saying, I do not say much anymore on this or any site anymore
But your comments get to me because I fear you may be correct.
I have always had a fierce pride in the American people and our will to over come any obstacle, I too am shocked at the lack of comments to ...

Re: barks thru shock collar
duxtoys,
The brand I use are by sportdog, not sure how many companies make the manual type but Im sure there are others, kinda pricey if I recall have had mine for 7yrs or so, the batts are replaceable by the owner and last a long time, Don't forget about the prongs on the neck thing, not something ...

Dog box on a trailer pros cons?
Anybody using this setup? had a tent trailer that I finally killed off, stripped it down to the frame, put a wood deck on it, was planning to just use it for hauling junk and the occasional tent type trip to carry coolers and stuff on.
anyway I keep eyeballing it thinking why not put a dogbox on it ...

Hectorp,
Good advice on the semi auto safety issues, I hunt the same way with my MarkII,
I much prefer a revolver on an empty chamber, but at the moment the semi auto will have to do.
If I chamber a round and fire the first thing I do is remove the magazine and eject the next loaded round. if I ...

Re: Thoughts of a Hound Thief....
While I totally agree that thieves are beyond scumbags , I think fake houndsmen are worse or just as bad. Nothing makes me want to puke more than watching a young bright eyed newbie purchase a hound or pup with dreams of getting it done when you know damn well the dog or pup has never been hunted or ...
