Got my pup from ken today. she is about as pretty of a pup as i have ever seen. i just hope she gets it done on bear and makes a good dog one day.

i have run black and tans. i have had good ones in all mentioned except redticks. we have a couple that have black and tan ,walker,and a little plott in them and they are some of the toughest dogs i have ever been in the woods with.

i was just wondering how to get on list to get one of his pups. and wondering which cross's do the best on bear. again i hunt in the mountain region NC mostly not the coast region. i do sometimes hunt the coast but i mostly hunt in the mountains where the ground is steep and is as thick or thicker in places as it is on the coast.My dad lost one of his best dogs the other day because he was washed over a set of ...

Tennessee lead came from around the Tennessee , Kentucky line at around 1852 not only was he an old fashion black and tan but he was also the sire of the first walker hounds. google tennessee lead with george washington maupin for more history.

bob baldwin jr this bear was in the top fork of the tallest oak i have ever seen around here . and that is the most i have ever heard of anyone loosein at one time but he did .

i hunt in the western NC mountains the mountains are rough hunting and are some of the tallest on the east coast. if you look up mount mitchell it is the highest peak east of the mississippi river. the pups made their first full race from turn loose to tree. and were treeing when i got there. the only bad thing was i let my 12 year old cousin shoot it and he hung it about 80 feet in a big oak and had to wait about two hours for my brother in law to get there with climbing gear to get it out ...

look up tennesee lead and see how big and heavy that dog was.thats about as old fashioned as you can get.

i like to turn my pups behind my lead dog and then put the second an third behind them to kinda carry the pups on in case they fall behind the lead dog.
