Just wanted to let everyone know that the Michigan Bear Hunters Association is donating $10,000 to USSA to help defeat SB1221. The money will be used only to fight this bill in CA.

What are the dates of the Utah training season? Is it a statewide season?

Here in MI we start July 15 and go to Sept. 15 (start of kill season)

I just spoke to Lion Country Supply about the new collars. They told me Garmin is offering a 50 dollar rebate for owners of the first gen collars.

I live in Michigan and haven't had anywhere near the range you guys are talking about. Normally I can't get over 1.5 miles. Do you think lots of trees has anything to do with the poor reception? I have the roof mount Garmin antenna for the Astro 220. I just wish I could get 5 miles!

You can also buy a magnet mount antenna from Garmin that plugs right in to the Astro 220. Here is the link to Garmins web site:

You shouldn't have to change the antenna on the astro. Let us know how your connector search goes.
