Here's your chance folks!
Who's been keeping up with the situation in Zanesville, Ohio? I'm sure at least some of you have wanted to try your hounds out on a Tiger, Lion or a Grizzly. Better get someone up there with some Julys or Triggs for the Cheetahs though. In the news report I saw, there was at least 3 trucks went by ...

Re: Missouri Cats
Just thought you guys should know, I was let in on the secret to catching cats last night.
I was talking with a guy who used to competition coon hunt. Over a couple of cold ones, I told him about my desire to start running cats. After he got over his look of shock and horror, he told me, and I ...

Re: Fox dog
No experience personally but there is a great book from High Lonesome books called "Hounds in the Hills" by Edward Briggs which covers a lot of fox hunting with hounds and is one of the few things i've read where they are actually harvesting the fox. Basically the Northern style of fox hunting David ...

You gotta be a cagey salesman, Tomtom!
DonB, I'm about 25 miles west of Columbia, right on the Missouri River. We might have to get together this winter and see what happens.

Re: Missouri Cats
Thanks for the replys fellas.
Mr. Clay - Thanks for the heads up on Mr. Reber, i'll be sure to get in touch with him. I figured that if there was a guy catching cats any where in MO. you'd probably know of him. You also hit the nail on the head about anti-hound landowners. Big local whitetail bucks ...

Missouri Cats
While this forum is chock full of great information, I have a sort of region specific question. The area I live in is mostly made up of river bottoms, the surrounding bluffs, and a lot of cow farms consisting of 20 to 100 acre open areas split up by wooded hollers. Now i've heard about what kind of ...

Re: Gray Foxes
Thanks for the reply's fellas. So from what you guys are telling me, they seem to tree in hot weather and hole up in colder temps? Do coyotes affect their population negatively like they do to the reds? I asked an older guy who got me started coon hunting about them and was told that they were trash ...

Gray Foxes
Hey Guys, I was wondering what you all could tell me about hunting the Grays with dogs. I know there are folks out there who tree 'em but there aren't too many posts about it on here. I'm trying to find out what I can about hunting critters other than coons and squirrels with my dog and figured I'd ...

Hello from Central MO
Hey guys
My name is Brad, and i've been checking this forum for a while now, so I finally broke down and joined. I'm from central Missouri and have one treeing cur that I hunt coons with and hope to get on some bobcats this winter. This site has been really great and hopefully I'll have some cat ...
