Re: West Virginia/South East PA
I messed up on the title. I meant to say South West PA. Too many years in Fla and Tx, I've got the SE'st on my mind.

West Virginia/South East PA
We relocated to WV (Morgantown/Fairmont area) approx 8 years ago and family responsibilities have kept me out of the woods until now. I was wondering if there were any folks in the area that would take pity on an old hound hunter and take me cat hunting or share some possible areas to start scouting...

Re: Falconry
And just a heads up, the North American Falconry Assoc (NAFA) will be holding their annual field meet in Kearney, Nebraska this year. It is always well attended, a wide variety of birds and hunting styles and interesting guest speakers. https://www.facebook.com/events/393764454343168/

Re: Falconry
My wife and I are licensed falconers (West Virginia) What would you like to know? It's been awhile since I logged on and just saw the topic heading......I thought there would be more falconers on the list.

Re: Montgomery, Co Texas
JTG tomtom and Gary, I really appreciate the help. And sorry for the late reply. A Neanderthal with the computer so when it went down, I had get my wife to fix the sucker (fortunately, computers and their inner goings on are a significant part of her job or I would have shot the thing a long time ag...

Montgomery, Co Texas
I’ve been living in Montgomery, Texas for the last eight years, and have been without a hound for a few more. A transplant from Okeechobee, Florida where I did most of my coon and cat hunting. Hoping to get started again (with my better halves permission and encouragement) and was wondering if there...

Re: Looking for the best plott bloodline
Steve W, I’ve been running black and tans for most of my hunting life so I don’t have a brindle dog in this fight, but I have worked in the hospitality industry for the better part of twenty years. I’m surprised when a man that makes any portion of his income by encouraging people to spend their dis...

Not a big game book and I can't recommend it because I just ordered it....but a hound book none the less.

Re: Hound Books
“The last Wolf Hawker The Eagle Falconry of Friedrich Remmler” A book that’s definitely not mainstream hound lit, I guess you could say that it’s for the serious junkie The history (build up to WWII) that surrounds Remmler’s stories are as interesting as his methods. A pack of Finnish Hounds run in ...
