Re: Carefull with your lights!!

Id never turn a light on a coon dog. Prolly cuz my old man woulda biffed me upside the hea if I ever turned a light on for any other reason than to walk or to shine a tree "once a dog was treed" for quite a while.

I honestly don't remember and I don't have any contact info for him anymore but I'm sure in today's world it wouldn't be too hard to find him.

Re: Just something I find amusing

I seen my buddy with a 4 month old Chessie take a rock and rub it on his pant leg. Toss it out in a creek and that pup would bring that rock back every time. He'd go under water grab it and out he'd come. I don't know what the point of the pant leg was but that's just how he done it. That pup handle...

Re: Hunt or Sense ?

undertheradar,

Jump dogs are jump dogs. They come in all shapes, colors, sizes, and speeds. They are very very hard to come by and if you get a line that is good at it you best concentrate on that line and don't kid yourself cuz without them you be (beep).

Re: Have a question for you experienced fox hunters

Stevemac, something I have always wondered, has anyone ever run dingos with hounds? I have tried to google it but found nothing. They might smell too much like a dog, but I have seen a lot of dogs that were just running another dog and it still sounded good. Ive heard tell of folks killin them with...

I believe I got 12 total livin. 4 males in the 1st litter and 3 males and 5 females in the 2nd litter. I only kept 2 males out of the 1st litter. My buddy has 1 and another fel...

Re: Tie dogs before shooting

When I use to coon hunt we always tied are dogs back and we never let them chew on the coon. I don't think a tree dog needs a reward to tree. We always wanted our dogs to use their energy to tree coon not fight or chew on dead ones. No clue how Id do it today. I'm a lot more lax bout most everything.
