i use the trx 1000 blue box and a tracker maxima 5000 and get the same range out of both in the mountains here, however the yagi hooked up on the maxima makes it easier and faster to get a direction on the dogs than the small antenna on the maxima and the blue box is a pain to carry in the woods but ...

you said it perfect. i trail with 2-4 depending on the track and turn a couple young one in on a hot track and seldom have anything want to run trash less problems altogether

most come in every 6 months i have a couple that comes in every 8 months. what part of maine are you from i hunt up around patten a good bit. also hunt up in ashland and around carribo if i spelled it right, thats some great country to hunt wish i lived up there till it snows anyway but it wasn't ...

I LIKE THE POCAHONTAS AND CROCKETT BRED PLOTTS BUT I'D LIKE BEAR DOGS TO BE COLDER NOSED THAN MOST OF THE PLOTTS I HAVE HAD. THOUGH I HAVE 2 NOW THAT CAN RIG AND TRAIL A BEAR 10-12 HRS OLD IN DECENT CONDITIONS AND THATS ABOUT ALL I WANT ANYWAY. BUT A GOOD BEAR DOG CAN BE PURPLE IF IT TREES EM I'LL ...
