Re: anyone here hunt lions in nevada

Just to clarify guys, you cannot kill a lion after dark in washo county, nv. So if you are thinking about hunting in that part of Nevada you will have to do your shooting during daylight hours, other county's are different. Ask the area game warden about the law, it's a hard one to find in the game ...

Re: Bear hunting in Alaska

Not much for roads where I'm at, but lots of quad trails, wolves are not a big problem for us. Our wolves avoid man at all cost. If you lost a dog for a week or so it could be a problem, but I have never had issues. Knock on wood. If you want to hunt roadbed country you will have to go to prince of ...

Re: north west nevada

You can not lion hunt in the Sheldon at all. There is a little ground along the cali/ Oregon border that is outside of the Sheldon but it is mostly private. And you will not get permission from the ranchers there. They do not like hounds. You are way better off to go twards denio, or south twards ...

Re: Looking at getting into hunting with hounds

just break her in gently, it has been my experience that its not the dogs that bother them much, its the fact that we pay more attention to the dogs than we do them. and some of them don't care for the fact that now and then we use the dinning room table for an operating table to give stitches and ...

Re: Crossing with a bloodhound

Re: nice tom lion

the dog is a bluetick black-n- tan cross. we had started a female track the day before in a canyon that we were walking. the dogs trailed her up into the head of the canyon and lost her somewhere in the rocks when they trailed out over the top. the wind was blowing on top and had blown out all the ...
