I use wildlife with changeable batteries, I get about 2000 hours but you don't have to send them in and you can keep extra batteries in your bag.

I've had pretty good luck with a small piece of steak, small being about the size of your fist tied in the back of a live trap. But Brent is right on alot of people say beaver is bar none the best.
What type of traps are you using? A leaning pole set with a conibear works great just put your bait ...
