i agree with attic rat, keep as much sent off of the trap as possible. Dye and wax the traps in the spring and let them dry out side, after they dry store them in a plastic tote or a fiber drum and handle them with gloves.

check your state regulations , but i like to use a 220 conibear on culverts or even a 330. Is the culvert dry or is there water running through it?
