Re: Lion Killing Ranchers!!!!
Evidently you have never lost any livestock to predators. These people have a right to try and make a living too. A person should spend their time hunting harder in a new area rather than try to get someone regulated out of business. My experience with ranchers or allotment owners whatever you choo...

Re: Lion Killing Ranchers!!!!
I was just wondering the ranches you were on did you have permission to be there or were you trespassing on them? If you did have permission why not just go talk to the ranchers about the problem and find out what there side is. Maybe the cat you found was trailed from a kill it made on the rancher...

Re: Lion Killing Ranchers!!!!
Sometimes best to let it go. If you're finding them on a ranch and accusing them you probably won't be welcome anymore. Sportsmen and ranchers have been allies in the past. Now mostly posted land. Most new hunters kill everything. Then we learn. Thats a bad idea if they were killing elk they would ...

Lion Killing Ranchers!!!!
Here in AZ a rancher must have a lion tag or show that a lion has killed livestock and get a permit from AZGFD to kill a lion!!To many ranchers just think they can kill a lion anytime they want.I know two in the Mohave county area that just kill every lion they can,one is on the Willows Ranch and th...

Re: Az High desert
Idcurs, I said I would assume people could get it done in that country. Never once said or assumed you thought you had the best dogs around, most people with good dogs don't jump on the internet and insult a bunch of guys by saying there stuff is easy and they don't know what's tough. So I doubt I'...

Re: Az High desert
I hunted down around Quartzsite, but that's about all I know of AZ. How does that compare to your area? By the way, I don't know how you'd run a dog day after day there. There are just to many cholla cactus. The dogs would do it but every time I saw the dogs they had some more needles in their feet...

Re: Az High desert
Idcurs, 3 day old 72 hour old Lion trailing in the dirt. Sounds like a fish story to me. So with 3 day cold trailers there should never be a day you don't get a track going with all the cats you got down there. Maybe it's not the dogs but the handler behind the dogs... For a person to come on here ...

Re: Az High desert
Hunting the high desert for bobcats is the hardest thing a bobcat dog can do.We have scrub oak, cliffrose, cactus of every kind with some cedar, juniper and mansenita thrown in,and lots of rock piles everywhere. On snow you can put one up now and then.West coast dogs don't have a clue what to do here,T...

Re: Treed lion
It is just the lion you have caught.Years back I was guiding lion hunts,I had a hunter that wanted a B&C tom.I found a big track and wanted to see him up close,I got him treed and he was a brute.I took some video of him and some pics, when I got the dogs coupled up and was 50 yards or more from t...
