Re: Good State to Hunt
The Area around Vernal is a good place to hunt, only problem is there is a ton of compitetion, if you didn't mind traveling a little ways, the lasals and san juan are just as good if not better units than the book cliffs or diamond.

Re: South slope, Diamond mountain
i hunt south slope diamond all the time, while some good hunting is private, i've ran a lot of big bear off private, the only bad thing is they head for colorado, and if the weather holds, there will be a ton of public land to hunt for the forest will be open instead of crowding fifteen hunters onto ...

We was out hunting, when we cut this cat coming on to the road, it had been cut already and it was a decent tom, we drove up the road and sure enough a couple of kids where sitting on it, as any houndsmen would, we just kept a driving and down the road another half a mile to a mile and here comes ...

Re: Couple of lion questions?
if that lion is a tom it isn't a very big one, my bet is its just a female, at least that's what it looks like to me, it looks to be about average for a female lion, but thats just my opinion, and i've been wrong in the past

Re: Lying about the quota?
Bearkiller is right, its not a problem this year in my area, but the same guide did it in colorado, and its kinda hard when the fish and game officer over the area is riding around in the truck with the guide who is doing it.

Lying about the quota?
This as been a problem in years past and even this year i have heard of it happening, in my area there is three quota units, and one gets mostly unpassable every year, when this happens the guides start killing lions in one unit and say its from the unit that is unpassable, there for the unit that ...
