Re: GPS VS TELMETRY
In short, to understand how Garmin and Telemetry work. They are similar but different. Garmin works on a MURS signal PING from the dog collar to your handheld (not GPS) and converts collected data from your hand held, which collects GPS data from Iridium or Imarsat commercial satellites. What makes ...

Re: garmin questions

I am working on a true satellite tracking device. No ping signals. Your dogs can be in the mountains o...

Art work can be done in many different ways. Instead using many colors and details, try black and white. Black shadows of lion and tree outlines on white background. With art you have to let your imagination go wild.

Hounds are one tuff dog, Ref; Found hound in crown king
Summary: After thirteen days, all four dogs were recovered within 24 hours, amazing! There are truly some good and honest residents and visitors who saw the and captured the dogs. Thirteen days without food, but snow run off for water kept them alive. When I got them, they look like tooth picks. My ...

Re: Is GPS technology changing hound hunting
Your dogs are valuable asset and I would recommend a tracking device. If you decide to go with the Garmin Astro 220, like all tracking devices they have limitations. I choose it because it gives the azimuth and distance of the dogs. Like any piece of equipment you have to know its limitations and ho...

When it's a mild rain are the Lions moving or staying?
On a constant mild rain, will the Lions continue to move searching for whatever..., or will they sit and wait for the rain to stop? Trying to figure a hunt strategy.
Thanks for your input.

Killroy Does Wesley have more Plott or Blue Tick in his body structure. From the pic he has the brindle color. They are tough dogs. I have a accidental litter of female Plott and male Blue Tick. I kept four of the best dogs. Males are 80 pounds and a petite female at 45 pounds. These males are very ...

Re: Help living with a lion
Sable Remember the Lion is a predator and he is scoping and looking for your food. He is learning and mapping your terrain and food source locations. When he is ready he will attack and kill, whether it be a calf, dog, chicken, anything with four legs and some two. You can run the lion off with dogs...
