I agree with cubby and dirt hole, feather will work, but I always use some old strands of cassette tapes hung on tree limb, it seems to get their attention better and when you are targeting cats you need to set more than one trap set a couple about 20 yards out from the tape, cats lose interest fast ...

I been looking at these little dogs and they seem gritty, I was just wondering what they are best used for?

If so what traits do you look for in them?

If so how did they do? And did you like them? I raise them for coon and most of them are great track dogs, they seem to throw a lot of cold nosed dogs or at least mine does. I was just wondering?
