Re: Need some advise
From my experience shock collar on a agressive dog can esclate the problem, the dog growls or starts fighting and you light him up he'll think its the other dog hurting him and you made it worse. I do NOT put up with any type of agression out of my dogs especially a Bulldog, the best option is to ...

Re: few questions cause i wanna start hog huntn
Thats funny, I was born and raised in Cali, had my first set of bear hounds when I was 11. Paid for and trained my own dogs, Im the 4th generation that ran hounds there. Re: few questions cause i wanna start hog huntn
First of all isnt it illegal to stick a hog in Cali with a knife? Its was while I lived there for 22 years. 2nd it was said that the hogs in Cali run like hell, well with you catching and then releasing the hogs I wonder why they run so bad. 3rd I would NOT recommend a rookie to take a gun of any ...

Re: All hound pack?
Sounds like some of ya havent hunted behind a damn good cur dog before, I love my hounds dont get me wrong but I hunt behind some yella cur dogs that would put to shame hounds every week. I dont care for catahoulas or lacy's, havent seen a good one yet. To say one breed is better than another is ...

Re: sundays hunt......big boar down!
Good deal Boardog, those intense situations is one of the reason I do this and the main is good dog work. Thats a good hog, putting big fellas behind a hog like that make the hog look smaller than it really is, I get it all the time in my pics especially when its a good one, Im 6'5" 320lbs so it ...

Re: QUICK QUESTION???????
What we do on new places is to look for the freshest sign. Another good idea is to go on the down wind side of that lil swampy area and cut loose there, always be aware of the wind like deer hunters are. Before hunting any new place go introduce yourself to the neighboring land owners and let them ...

Re: Any body feed their dogs hog?
If cooking meat took out all the nutritional value then my dogs would have starved to death a long time ago. So would you and I for that matter. Meat, cooked or not, is full of protein. I don't cook it well done or burn it. It looks like a steak cooked medium.
Okay, now on to the effects of heat ...

Re: Any body feed their dogs hog?
Cooking it defeats the purpose of feeding the meat, it loses all of its nutritional value if you cook it. All you should do is freeze it for a week or so then feed it. I always leave a lil hide to help digestation, I really like it when we run up on a buch of shoats, Ill gut em and freeze them whole ...

Re: DO NOT KNOW IF I SHOULD QUIT HUNTING OR NOT
Alot of knocking on doors is how I got my places to hunt, then word of mouth from the landowners of the good job me and my dogs do got me more. It took almost a year to get my own place to hunt, which makes you respect the place you do have more.
