do as much reading on here as you can...you will pick up alot, and you bet one dog can do it, when i first started running all i had was one old black and tan and i ran him forever by himself....its good to have a few dogs as they will learn from one another and work in teams but there is nothing ...

Ya can't hurt to throw a bait station out. But once the dog starts catching good don't let him run the bait after a while. Make him find them himself

i have a dog that has caught two bear by herself...i wont dump her on one alone though....it depends on the situation and how many dogs we have available...i like to dump four or five dogs on a bear and later on in the race dump a few more fresh ones...thats just how i do it and thats what works for ...

you could if you wanted...there is so many of the damn things running around right now as it is...i dont know how much you will benifit from a feeder compaired to just free casting your dogs to find it on there own....i use a feeder in the winter sometimes for my pups only...gives them a nice hot ...

i have a 7 month old plott that will tree her own coon and run just fine with the big dogs....at 5 months old she would look at a caged coon with a dumb look on her face.....i would take her out with with my best plott, weather it be on lions or coon (wont dump her on bear yet) and i would let her ...

i have heard a lot about some camerons doing good in the dirt, myself i have never seen it, i dont do alot on dry ground but the best dry dogs i have seen is a strain of dollins bred plotts from a guy here in utah. this is just my .02
