Re: cat dog contest

Sounds fun , Any reason why a non resident (Canadian) cant enter this ? Up here you would have to be accompanied by an Outfitter.

Re: dan ley's hounds

I hunted with some Lays hounds years ago and they are fantastic dogs. Only down side is they are too big. They can go but after 3-4 days of runnin bear hard they need a few days off. This is why my buddies switched to 55-65 lb dogs. Also it is a myth you need a big dog in BC.

Re: One dog?

One good dog can catch a lot of bears but sometimes need that little bit of extra pressure to put a tough one up or stop it, 2 good bear dogs should be able to bay and tree the same amount as a whole pack of dogs.

Re: Need Help How To Train A Bob Cat Dog With Out A Finished

I would start with the Lions first.....When I first started hunting cats I was real fortunate and hooked up with a fella that knew what he was doing and showed me the ropes. I bought a female and bred it to his male and had my first litter. After a couple years my friends old dog died and he retired ...

Re: How do you judge this lol

Sounds like a typical average pack for someone who gets out once-twice a week. Probably catches average amount of game. Good starter pack if they are all for sale. Dudes seems like he being quite honest IMO.

Her Diary:
Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a nice restaurant for dinner. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but he made no comment on it. Conversation wasn't flowing, so I suggested ...

Re: help me solve a friendly argument

IMO a dog that has a high catch rate and scratch free is better than a dog that has the same catch rate but always tore up.Kind of just makes sense. I dont want a dog that hangs .

Why use cameras? I google earth all the roads after a snow fall, saves huge amount a time and fuel.

Re: Collar Cameras?

I have been messing around with the Contour Roam, I mounted it beside the tracking collar but is too shaky for good video and slobber gets on the lens quite a bit. I couldnt find a mount that worked properly with that camera but I hear the vest is the way to go so I will try that.
