Re: Hunting rigs

I agree with Dean - need to have multiple options for conditions. One day its a tracked argo then the next day a tired 4wheeler is fine. Iv'e been pretty lucky with a flatbed dually GMC but I've also been pretty stuck - seems like even with multiple options you always seem to have the wrong ...

I hunt vedawoo sometimes. Tricky area with the interstate right there and I always seem to pick up a track close and headed closer.

Re: Tires

The tire I've had great luck with is the BFGoodrich KM2s.
On my GMC diesel(dually) I can get 45k on a set with an equal mix of off-road, highway and towing. Previous tires from Goodyear, Nitto and Kumo only gave me 25-30k.
The only problem is that its a mud tire so its noisy but the good news is ...

Re: Best Cameron's?

Scott Young (Rocky Mountain Blueticks) has some top Cameron blooded hounds. My advice - don't look for a particular bloodline or breed and instead look for hounds from someone who hunts for a living (not part time) first and breeds 2nd.
Also keep in mind that the best houndsmen in the business don't ...

Re: STOLEN HOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jason - just tried calling you but not because I had good news about your dog. I just wanted to say that I would be suspect of anyone that has visited your kennel where you maybe sold a dog or brought a dog in for training and talked to the buyer about your other dogs.
My dad had this happen 40 ...

Re: Open Season

You did just fine Chuck - ignore the people here bashing you.
Shame on your guide however - he should have talked you into passing on the first track or talked you out of shooting a small female. At the end of the day you have your cat but he has further reduced availability in his own area.
I'll ...

Re: what snow tires for a quad???

Save yourself time and $$ - go buy an old $500 fan cooled snowmobile. Tracks on an ATV are nice and they will go darn near anywhere but not as fast or easily as a snowmobile.
I have tracks on my Can-Am outlander and love them but for hunting I'd rather have an old junk snowmobile.

I would be the first to congratulate if it was a real cat but it isn't.
If he/they enjoy misrepresentation and lying then they are indeed successful.

Re: Big Tom photo making the rounds, Who is this and where?

Thats a photo edited picture - completely fake. Open it in an editing program and zoom in on it and you can see the edited pixels. The three guys sitting there are unedited but the cat was photoshopped in.

Re: Lyons Colorado guys

I lived in Pinewood springs in 1987 and had a friend that got a new puppy for xmas. They tied it up on the porch and within an hour it was gone....they watched as a lion yanked it off the deck. Had a neighbor who had a deer killed in her yard and drug up on the car-port by a lion.

Those were the ...

Re: ???? wyoming lion hunting ????

I bought 2 of Scott Leepers dogs ultimately due to the wolf problem up there. He lives in Bondurant which is that exact same area. Sold out everything - sick of dealing with the problem.
Google his name and read the story.

While I was at his house he showed me the wood dog box that sits on the back ...

Re: Need reccomendation on dog foods

I use food made by Country Vet thats available at most local feed stores here in wyoming. I feed the dark green bag which is a 26/18 - dogs do good on it. $22 per 50lb bag.
