Re: Can someone explain this?

BHP,

sounds like you are like me and look for elk in the trees too I never can find em. good to hear your having good time with Ozzy again. From your story I would seriously guess you were running the wrong stuff. IF a bear climbed the Ozman would be at the bottom of the tree. Sounds like he could ...

Re: Ever mounted one of your dogs?

I had a pet goldfish that died. Taxidermist used the wrong form and just didn't quite capture the expression I remembered. Wish I had kept a photo of that goldfish.

Re: Ignorance, Greed or NM water?

outfitters? should be held to higher standard?

rookies? seems most of us, myself included at one time, feel the need to load the back of the truck with fur to feel accomplished. Some learn better. Most don't.

Re: John's first lion

congrats on the catch! that was a HUGE catch

If I owned a dog that made a 21 mile race that included burned off south slopes I would wack the cat too... female, subadult,youngtom...whack em and stack em....smaller the better...easier to pack out over the 21 miles.

Bticked,

The best scenario I could suggest for a "training ticket" would be for you to coon hunt, especially since you live in ABQ.. The year round units are EXTREME as Mike said, not necessarily the best place to train. Good luck
