Re: California Dfg reversing new law allowing GPS

COHA should put out a put a semi scientific survey with relevant questions to all its members. This could be submitted to the commission to help aid in the "studies"

Number one complaint by Anti's is that it aids our success. Im new to GPS but "does it help catch more Game" My answer is a solid no ...

Re: drivetrack 70 and birdseye

OK I decided to break my alpha out of the coller bag after eons of screwing with this Drivetrack and turned it on, and whamo the Birdseye worked on the Drivetrack.

Birdseye comes up in dog tracking mode, but will not come up in driving mode. Not sure why?

Hopefully this will help someone save some ...

All kind of places down in the delta. Good fun when the boundry is closed up here. Launch a boat and run the levies.

Re: Alpha antenna range, is this normal?

Sorry for the late reply, dont hop on all that much.

I gotta say im a fair bit disappointed in garmin if that's the limitation. I guess i will see how i like it once the boundary opens and i can do some real running. Im going to keep running my telemetry on top, with so many roads gated now ...

Alpha antenna range, is this normal?

So new to the alpha. They just became legal to run in our neck of the woods.

i grit my teeth and forked out for the alpha, 4 collars, and the drivetrack70

I hunt in some pretty rugged terrain and was not expecting alot of range, but was hoping for more than im getting so far.

Went to a buddies ...

Has anyone dealt with Ted Wilson in Wash.

Looking for people who have purchased dogs from Ted Wilson. Was going to purchase one of his dogs. When he called me and asked for the full amount of the dog down until it was ready ,caught me by surprise. I'm used to having a partial non-refundable deposit.

Anyhow didn't want to get burned, so ...

Re: Marshall vs Johnson

I think he is referring to the ability to remove it from the its original collar and install it onto the garmin collar as a backup. So not only do you have the gps but the telemetry as a back up on the same collar. The marshalls are installed on their straps with 4 screws.

Re: please help squeakin fox

I talked to a local warden about this awhile back, while the reg is under 475 (b) in the non-game section of the regs; fox falls under it. Its confusing and loosly worded. If you notice they list bobcat as ok for use and bobcat shouldnt be in the non-game section. Heck maybe ill call down there to ...

Re: Marshall vs Johnson

When i started out i had Johnsons; my buddy had Marshalls. In the beginning we wondered if the dogs were together or not. It turned out the Marshalls just put out a stronger signal and tone. I have since switched over to Marshall and haven't looked back. I also like the abilty to have the freq ...

Re: Rig Cages on front bumper

Why not just run a hood mat? upholstery guys make em well; they strap on with out effort, Felt bottom, rubber middle with canvas on the top with d rings sewn in. Hold up really well. Im about ready to have one made. Work great and you can see what your dogs are doing.
