The beginning idea for these may have started there. I don't know. These were built by Martin saddlery in Bayfield Colorado back in the 60's, 70's and early 80's. Hey Blammer,You are on the right track though. It is based off a style of saddle.

Well, it's not a decker. The hooks are something that this guy used for years and years. They stopped building these in the late 70's or early 80's.

You're fix'n to hear a thousand negative replys about Shetlands (which most will be true) so I won't start. There have been some good ones (maybe one), but really find a small size horse that is broke to death and teach the kids to enjoy the experience.

Looks to me like Mike has the Britchen just about right. It only needs to be about 4 to 6 inches below the point of the rump. Your going to get a lot more "hold back" with the rump than you are if it's banging off his legs. The lower you put it the more it's hindering your animals movements when he ...
