For bear, it doesn't really matter, but a lot of times up high works best because they wind the track coming off the hill. All my opinion of ...

Looking to get in contact with a guy named Sean from Idaho. Supposed to be a great bear hunter. I got a pup from a mutual friend that I'd like to talk to him about.

Re: Are we seeing a DECLINE in HOUND HUNTING

Re: full moon
i bet a nasty ole lion stinks just as bad as a bear. the differance is once a lions jumped he aint goin no further than a quarter mile. a bear race might last all day and night with some griity dogs. and if your dog cant wind a lion at 50 feet there is a problem i dont care what your conditions are

Re: new to the site from western oregon

Re: CANT tree a cat!
dont worry about your dog not doing anything on a caged coon. dont even mess with a caged coon. there job is to chase the animal up the tree, or chase it till it stops and they have to bay it up. without the chase the dogs natural reaction is not coming out so it really doesnt know what to do. i ...

Re: CANT tree a cat!
My suggestion would be to lace your boots up and run with your dog. Without a lead dog your gonna have to take the spot. These guys that say you need a special kind of dog are full of it. You know your dogs capabilities more than anyone on this forum. Your the only one that will be able to decide ...
